Invitations to Bid

If awarded bid you must have a current City of Mullins Business License and current Certificate of Insurance with Worker’s Compensation coverage. The City of Mullins reserves the right to accept or reject in whole or in part, such bids as appear in its judgment, to be in the best interest of the City.

Tennis / Pickle Ball Courts

Bids Due: Friday, July 19, 2024, 2:00pm

Resurfacing Asphalt Layer

  • Mobilization for asphalt equipment
  • Install 1.5” fine topping overlay on existing hard surface courts
  • Compact to grade and remove spoils
  • Mark & level all birdbath areas and level any seams from new asphalt to ensure a smooth playing surface with Acrytech Acrylic crack patch, E-330 crack filler or any acrylic latex/Portland cement/sand crack filler. **Note: CRACKS IN SUBGRADE AND BASE PAD WILL SHOW UP OVER TIME AS TEMPERATURES FLUXATE THROUGHOUT THE SEASONS**

Coating / Layouts/Nets

  • Level marked birdbaths with Acrytech Acrylic Deep Patch or equivalent
  • Apply Two (2) coats of leveling resurfacer (base coat)
  • Apply Two (2) coats of color to playing surfaces and two coats to out of bound areas. Colors to be chosen by owner. Up to Two (2) colors.
  • Stripe for Six (6) regulation pickle ball courts and two (2) tennis courts using two (2) coats of texturized white line paint
  • Set new pickle ball posts (12), new pickle ball nets (6), new tennis nets
  • Set tennis post (4), and (2) new tennis nets
  • Clean Site

Fencing: All new fencing/Demo and Removal of old fencing

  • Demo & remove old Terminal Posts and Line posts and old footings
  • Set new 3” – 10 ft. Black Terminal Posts and 2 ½’ Line Posts in new concrete footers
  • Install all new hardware/caps
  • Install 800 linear ft of new 10 ft black vinyl chain link fencing fabric, new top rail, new mid rail, new bottom rail
  • Install new 6’x4’ gates (2)
  • Install 100 ft of 4ft black vinyl chain link fence to use as back stop for new pickle ball courts

 

 

Public Bathrooms

Bids Due:  Monday, July 15, 2024, 2:00pm

The City of Mullins (City), Purchasing Department, invites sealed proposals for the construction and installation of a Modular or site built bathroom.  This structure should be approximately 40' Length x 15' Width x 8' Height (roof line excluded), and consist of two fully accessible bathrooms and one janitorial space/supply closet with its own egress.  Male bathroom shall consist of, at a minimum, 2 toilets, 2 urinals, 3 sinks, mirrors, tissue dispensers and paper towel dispensers or hand dryers.  Female bathroom shall consist of, at a minimum, 3 toilets, 4 sinks, mirrors, tissue dispensers and paper towel dispensers or hand dryers.  All interior surfaces must be waterproof.  This structure shall be turnkey.  Water, electric and sewer service will be provided within 20' of the project area.  Appropriate connection to this structure will be the responsibility of the selected contractor.  Construction staging will be onsite and identified during pre-bid site visit and pre-construction site meetings.

Offerors must be certified or licensed for Modular Construction/Prefabrication or General Building Construction.  A certificate and/or license must accompany bid submission.

Construction must be in compliance with South Carolina adopted codes.
