Benefits

The City of Mullins currently offers a competitive benefits package. The terms of the City’s benefits plans are subject to change, and the City is not responsible for any changes in or elimination of benefits or benefit plans. Please see Human Resources for specific information on the City’s benefit plans.

Health Insurance – The City of Mullins offers health insurance coverage to full-time employees at no cost to the employee.  If additional coverage or dependent coverage is desired, the employee will be responsible for the cost. 

Retirement The City of Mullins participates in the South Carolina Retirement Systems.  Benefits and participation are determined by the South Carolina Retirement System.

Workers’ Compensation - City employees are covered by workers’ compensation for on-the-job injuries.  Benefits are governed by state law and not set by the City. Employees must report immediately any on-the-job injury, regardless of severity, to their supervisor.

South Carolina Deferred Compensation Program – The State of South Carolina Deferred Compensation Program is a voluntary tax-sheltered retirement program available only to public employees.  As a public employee in the State of South Carolina, the Deferred Compensation Program offers you a number of important features and benefits to help reach your financial goals.  Enrollment can be at any time during your employment.

Direct Deposit – The City of Mullins offers Direct Deposit to each employee.  All or a portion of your payroll can be deposited directly into a checking/savings account.  An authorization form will be filled out and a VOIDED check or deposit ticket to verify the transit number and account number.
